Spinoffs
The traditional development cycle of the technologies we develop is always the same.
Conceptual Stage: A high risk technology development and demonstration phase funded using a combination of client’s services contracts, public grants and non-profit resources. Proof-of-concept prototypes and core intellectual property assets are the deliverables.
Productization Stage: A reduction to products phase, often funded by private investors and strategic partners through product development contracts. This stage results in the formation of a spin-off company, seed fund-raising and corporate joint venturing.
Commercialization Stage: The development of the spin-off company using private equity, strategic investments from commercial partners, venture capital and more importantly, product revenue.
